labour for love

music inside

The eclectic mix of colours, textures, and styles is just one of the things that makes The Bo Fig so special. It's a place where you can find a rug that reflects your own personal style.

It's clear that our owner has poured her heart and soul into The Bo Fig. She's not just selling rugs; she's sharing her passion for Persian and Middle Eastern culture with the world. And she's doing it in a way that is both beautiful and inviting.

A space where people can come together to learn about and celebrate her culture.

She hosts regular events at the store, such as children's kilim-weaving workshops and Persian music gatherings. These events are a great way to meet other people who share your love of Persian culture, and they're also a great way to learn more about the history and craftsmanship of Persian rugs.

More than just a rug store

The Bo Fig is more than just a store; it's a way for Zeinab to share her love of Persian and Middle Eastern culture with the world. She takes great pride in finding and preserving beautiful rugs that tell the stories of her ancestors. And she's passionate about educating her customers about the history and craftsmanship of these rugs.

The Bo Fig is a special place, and Zeinab is a special person. She's an ambassador for Persian and Middle Eastern culture, and she's making a difference in the world one rug at a time.

behind the bo fig

how it begun

Zeinab Ana is a Persian-Australian rug merchant with a passion for authentic hand-knotted rugs and vintage Kilims. She has been selling carpets in Sydney for years, and her love of rugs began in her childhood. In 2016, she took over her family's rug business and has since built up the store and continued sourcing rugs through international relationships. With a strong heritage tie to her homeland, Zeinab carefully chooses every Persian rug that is added to The Bo Fig collection.
