This is a beautiful tribal Kurdish Rug from the northwest of Persia. The diamond medallion and scattered flower motifs create playfulness and centres the gaze. This rug is made from sheep wool on cotton foundation and features protection from darkness. The rug is 238 x 132 cm in size and is approximately woven in early 1960's.
The rug is in very good condition. The main colours are maroon and navy blue field, yellow and moss green.
