This is a beautiful tribal Kurdish Rug from the northwest of Persia. The 4 diamond medallions and scattered animals and flower motifs create playfulness and centres the gaze. This rug is made from sheep wool on cotton foundation and features protection from darkness. The rug is 233 x 128 cm in size and is approximately woven in early 1980's.
The rug is in very good condition. The main colours are faded red and navy blue field, maroon and moss green.
