This hand-woven pure sheep wool tribal rug from Daghestan is a vibrant rug in our village collection. It was woven in the late 20th century and is characterized by its intuitive design and vibrant colours.
The name YARRA is derived from Aboriginal tongue and means "a very strong wood". This rug reminds us of and connects our being to the joyful moments of the land we are living in.
This rug is woven in a small village. The design is from the weavers understanding and then follows her intuition and imagination to form the art. Colours also play a vital role and express the feeling of the artist and are extracted from the nature around her evoking certain emotions.
All photos are taken in natural, filtered light and only very modestly edited. Please be aware that colours may vary slightly depending on the device you are viewing them on.
The rug will be dispatched from our Bo Fig warehouse within 5 business days from receipt of payment.
