This intricate hand-knotted city Persian rug from central Persia, Sarouk, is a stunning piece of art that will add beauty and elegance to any home. The rug is made of 100% kurk wool and features a beautiful eight-folded central medallion. The background is a translucent Egyptian blue against a shimmering gold, red and splashes of light blue grape flower motifs and it contains borders with sophisticated arabesque patterns in the garden. The name TAVAB is derived from the Persian word which means "benevolent and kind". This rug is a perfect way to add a touch of warmth and hospitality to your home.

The rug measures 320 x 220 cm (10'5" x 7'2") and was woven in the late 1980s. It is in excellent condition.
