MOSAVAR
This delicately hand-knotted rug from central Persia, Kashan, is a stunning piece of art that will add beauty and elegance to any home. The rug is made of 100% pure wool and features a beautiful four-fold flower motif in the central medallion with the base of circle and triangle. The background is a translucent blood red against a shimmering night blue, blooming blue and ivory flowers, both seen in the medallion and borders. The design of this unique piece is delicately woven into its soul with sophisticated arabesque patterns in the garden. MOSAVAR is designed and woven intentionally for it to be metaphorically a gateway from earth to the heavens. It opens up possibilities of life on earth.
The name MOSAVAR is derived from the Persian word which means "the painter". This rug is a perfect way to add a touch of creativity and expansion to your home.
The rug measures 313 x 220 cm (10'4" x 7'2") and was woven in the late 1980s. It is in excellent condition.
