Woven in late 20th century this rug from Nahavand is a vibrant rug in our tribal collection.
Tribal rugs are woven in small villages and are often intuitive. This means there is no design that the weaver follows and she rather uses her own imagination of her surroundings and knots the rug. Colours used are from the nature around these villages depending on where they are located.
Her name is driven from Aboriginal tong meaning ‘little wide goose’. This Persian carpet reminds us of the flowering and joyous of the land we are living in.
All photos are taken in natural, filtered light and only very modestly edit photos. Please be aware that colours may vary slightly depending on the device you are viewing it on.
