This is a beautiful hand-woven pure wool Shiraz kilim from south Persia, Shiraz. The rug is made from soft sheep wool and features a traditional medallion design. The Shiraz kilim is 280 x 160 cm in size and is approximately 30-40 years old. The kilim is made with vegetable dyes, which give it a rich and natural colour.
The rug is in great condition for its age. There are some colour imperfections that only add to the rug's character. It is also slightly uneven, which is a common characteristic of hand-woven rugs.
