This rug is delicately hand-knotted with pure lambs wool in Western Persia, Tabriz, Azarbyjan Province.
The motif of this rug is based on the traditional four fold flower in the central medallion. The background is a deep red against a shimmering moss green and teal blue floral vines. The sophisticated arabesque patterns, sixteen folded petals and the geometric design of the rug suggests commitment to the centre of our own being whilst paying attention to our surrounding. Historically known as Tabriz Sheikh Safi design; from the four gates entering the centre with sixteen petals protection.
