This is a hand-woven pure wool Kurdish kilim from West Persia, Kurdistan.
Some of the tribes of West Persia are simple people, close to the nature and they come in small groups. Their style of weave is more earthy, as if a conduit from the Mother Earth essence. With a strong culture steeped in community and music, they carry their way of life through weaving rugs and kilims.
