SIV/ 212x154 CM BAKHTIYARI NOMADIC RUG

$1,850.00 AUD

SIV

This rug is hand-woven in Bakhtiyar, southwest Persia, in the mid-19th century. It is a semi-antique rug and one of the most beautiful rugs in our nomadic collection. Nomads of Persia are the wonderers of the mountains and the land. Their style of weave is more intuitive, as if a conduit from the heart. With a strong culture steeped in community and music, they carry their rugs from place to place.

SIV, meaning bride in Nordic mythology, is a perfect rug for a new home. The rug is characterized by its floral design, which is reminiscent of the joy and blossoming of a new beginning. The rug is also made from pure soft sheep wool and has been dyed with vegetable dyes.

All photos are taken in natural, filtered light and only very modestly edit photos. Please be aware that colours may vary slightly depending on the device you are viewing it on.
