GOLNESA/ 200 x 170 CM NOMADIC BAKHTIYARI RUG

$1,560.00 AUD

GOLNESA

This rug is hand-knotted in southwest Persia, Shiraz, rural districts of Bakhtiari tribes. Nomads of west Persia are simple people, close to the nature and they come in small groups. Their style of weave is more earthy, as if a conduit from the Mother Earth essence. With a strong culture steeped in community and music, they carry their way of life through weaving rugs and kilims.

GOLNESA, meaning the beautiful face, is a nomadic southern rug and a perfect Persian Carpet for an intimate living experience. The strength of this rug is clearly in the central medallion which is a red eight petal flower with blue border lines. Red and blue bring forth the fire and water balance. The creamy field is related to element of earth and the Islimi flowers woven into it brings out the beauty of the field. The navy-blue border and the green interwoven flower buds inside protects the heart in the centre.
